Australians apparently like to conserve electricity. I can't quite decide if this is just my host family or if this is even including young people, but when I do my laundry I have to hang it out to dry! So weird... I mean, they do have a dryer but their thinking is to only use that if you absolutely have to. It was funny because my host lady was telling me a story of how weird it was that this one American couple automatically put their clothes in the dryer with no attention paid to the fact that it was sunny outside (and could therefore be put on the line!).
Ahh, silly Americans! ;)

Same in Norway! You have to dry your clothes on a rack in the bathroom, even if you have a dryer, because it's "fresher". Or something...
Haha my friend said they do that in Spain, too. I guess Americans are the only ones not in on the fun.
